Journal 16: Three Stages of a Full Moon

This short journal shows more of my drawing process, including the three-stage commission process and how it evolves from black and white sketches to color. A slight difference from the example shown here is that the 2nd stage would be in monotone. Then one can say that the 4th stage will involve the layout of the artworks as a comic page as one would see in the fully laid out pages we've done for the Tales of the Vanished stories. For this example, we focus on one of the pieces that's a work in progress.

Our "society" brings in a dish to the shocked guests, not the least because of how it is presented: extremely lewd and highly exposed. Usually the society would lay out the feast more reverently but on occasion a more lascivious spread would be presented. This is a treatment usually reserved for the sacrifice who would have complicated matters for the Circle such as attempting to escape or one who threatens the interests and welfare of the secret society.
