Dear Patrons,

First off, a message for members who purchase via Hiccears, due to the "pay-per-view" nature of that platform and that I'm unable to enable a subscription based approach there, all updates there are now sold piece-meal as a set for 12 H-Coins each (which is approximately USD12 per Newsletter/Update. How can I pass up the opportunity for a Thanksgiving update on Thanksgiving day. It has been a bad habit of mine to post an update after the fact of the occasion. This time, I've managed to avoid that, and so soon too after the most recent update. What a surprise!

I hope this update finds my Patrons well, as I wanted to use this opportunity to say thanks to all of you for supporting my works. It had been a rough year for the site the past couple of years, but lately, things have been looking up, especially with great thanks to my higher tiered patrons at the APOSTLE tiers and above I really appreciate all of you, without whom, this site would soon long be retired. But thankfully, that's a long distance yet over the horizon.

Enough prattling on, here's what you came for... an update! Carte du Jour #299... bon appetit!

I. FREEDOM FROM WANT

Image 1 (1 complete colored work): For this season's Thanksgiving, I have created piece in homage to Norman Rockwell's classic painting. Perhaps he'd be honored, or even horrified that his art has been used for such purposes. Well, I will guess the latter but no matter. There has been countless of perverted versions, one famous example being Simon Bisley's Jason vs Leatherface cover.

I had designs on expanding the drawing as you will see below, but I hadn't had enough time as Thanksgiving just jumped up on me in quick fashion! This is part of the project MOVABLE FEAST: CREMATORIUM, jumpstarted by one of my higher tiered patrons, where the dark deeds have been perpetrated in an old abandoned crematorium, where the old furnaces are used for a different purpose, not to reduce a corpse to cinder and ashes but to a nice golden bird! You can find the older update at Update #272: CREMATION OF CARE.

Images 2-3 (1 complete colored work & 1 work-in-progress of a similar scene): Here are the works in progress of Image 1 for those who are curious to my process.

Image 4-5 (2 sketches): And here, you will see alternate versions, much earlier versions which had been teased in the previous update. However, I wasn't able to complete the whole piece if you can forgive me. Perhaps, something to look forward to for next year's Thanksgiving. Perhaps a pair of hands and feet as appetizers and head on the table instead of on the wall.

II. MORE THANKSGIVING LEFTOVERS

Image 6-7 (1 complete artwork & 1 work in progress of a similar scene): Below lies a gutted bird, exposed, humiliated and vulnerable, ready to be tossed onto the table for oiling and preparation for the Thanksgiving rotisserie.

Image 8 (1 complete color artwork): A different angle of the full bird for Thanksgiving, ready to be carved.

Image 9 (2 sketches in black & white): The following are pair of unrelated concept sketches following the Thanksgiving theme, one pullet having her drumsticks carved from the body, blade plunged where the sun doesn't shine, and another of a feet-centric bird on a roasting rack.
