Dear Patrons. We revisit one of our past stories, Season of Sacrifice and Slaughter, featured in Carte du Jour #172 and Carte du Jour #173. Again, this will be art centric and less on the story narrative as I still try to find some moments of stability, and instead of postponing too much just so I can have the writing juices, I thought why not go ahead and post this update. Art has been easier to do as I have dozens of ideas already set in canvas early on with too many ideas and so little time to follow through, but to write the stories requires me to immerse myself in the moment, to be at peace, set, quiet, locked in a cabin with a flame crackling in the fireplace and a nice warm brew of Glühwein or Hot Cocoa at arm's reach, so to speak which I do not have much of these days. In an odd way, writing may seem easy at first; just string a few sentences together coherently, but to do it well in a way that's immersive is actually a daunting task and I have much respect for writers who do this well and plan their stories properly with well-developed plots and characters.

Admittedly, I haven't felt quite settled for the past few months as there are huge moments at the back end consumes me, but as I am more than ever determined to develop the illustrated stories at the PROJECTS PAGE further, I want to continue with the art, the stories and the narrative, I shall continue with what I know best which is to draw, and that is my mode of therapy.

So with that, here are the artworks... and soon the stories may follow. For now, I will let you, my valued and loyal patrons, to fill in the blanks narratively. Bon appétit!
